Assault at Beth Israel Congregation
Recounted below is an incident that occurred at BIC and was witnessed, in part, by this writer. The report and photo come from Henry Herskovitz of Jewish Witnesses for Peace and Friends. In true Zionist style--where the perpetrators always pose as victims--it was BIC people who first called the police to complain about trespassing after a couple of protestors went into the BIC parking lot to photograph the man pictured below.

Beth Israel Congregation calls for an extra prayer for the people of Israel Friday evening (8/4/06) and 14 protestors show up to once again remind these congregants that their support for State Terrorism will not be tolerated. Caught in his rage that his racism is being exposed, the man pictured below drove his car [MI Lic. ABE7727] across the centerline on westbound Washtenaw Avenue to take a assaultive run at peaceful protesters on the lawn extension. A small boy and an infant in arms were in attendance. A formal complaint has been filed with the Ann Arbor Police Department (Complaint No. 06-12607), but no action has been taken by the detective bureau at this time. Anyone reading this report and knows this perpetrator's name, please advise the writer [hersko@umich.edu].
